Etsy Pittsburgh Membership Requirements 

 

 

Our membership is again open to new folks!  If you are interested in joining, our new personal review process is open to potential members.  To be added to the waiting list, send a convo with your shop information to http://pittsburgh.etsy.com or http://lzandej.etsy.com   

 

Review Process- Earn three *stars* to become a full-fledged member:

 

• We want to meet you! Join us for a meet-up, workshop, or outing. These events are announced to the mailing list. You'll earn 1 star.

• Show off what you do/make. Create a team blog entry or donate a shop item. You'll earn a second star.

• Join us at another workshop, meet-up, or outing. You'll earn your third star.

• When you have three stars we'll invite you to join us as a full member!  Yay!  We're a close and friendly group. We love meeting new people, and value active team members.  

 

 

To Be Considered "Active," Members Must:

 

• Have an active Etsy shop.

   

• Live within driving distance of the Pittsburgh, PA region (or visit often).

 

• Pay $5 in membership dues every 3 months (quarterly).  Send dues via PayPal to lonesomedove27@aol.com (please label your payment "etsypittsburgh dues" where you can).  Members must be current in dues payment to be considered *active*.

 

•  Attend at least 1 Etsy Pittsburgh meetup/event per quarter (i.e. monthly team meetings, craft nights etc). 

   

• Be nice to others in the group & be willing to ask questions if you have any and/or teach others your crafting skills.  

   

 

Membership offers many fringe benefits! 

 

Members Will Receive:

 

• a welcome pack with team biz cards and special team logo/promo gifts
   
• access to our private Ning social network and forum
   
• the ability to donate items to the team shop
   
• addition to official, *public* team lists
   
• participation in group vending at events in pittsburgh and beyond (never worry about forgetting something or leaving your table for a minute!)

• discounted team crafting workshops

 

• the ability to participate in and/or receive lower table fees for CityCraft markets, community service projects, & more fun!  

 

 

***The Etsy Pittsburgh artists & crafters also maintain a Team Shop on Etsy (sales go toward group promotion).  Please visit, and pretty please donate an item to help with team promotions and projects.  Donating an item is optional, but would be much appreciated!  This is also a way for active members to ensure representation of your shop and increase visibility and promotion!  :)  See How to Donate an Item to the Team Shop

Info you might want to know as an Etsy Pittsburgh Member:

 

 

• MONTHLY MEETINGS: Please attend our monthly on-line chat on Etsy on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm.  Look for reminders in discussions on the team Yahoo Group.  In-person monthly meetings have been suspended until further notice. 

 

• The team holds occasional Craft Nights that are open to both team members and the public. Please look for more info in the team's Yahoo Group or Ning discussions. 

 

• Group Outings- Just for fun!  Team members sometimes gather for group field trips to activities like the Chihuly glass exhibit at Phipp's Conservatory, the North Side Historic Homes tour, and open pottery nights or glass workshops.

 

• Be sure to visit http://team.etsy.com for the latest official Etsy downloads and general Etsy street team updates. 

 

• Visit the Etsy Pittsburgh Street Team Google Calendar for upcoming events and vending opportunities.

 

• Check out Etsy Pittsburgh's Yahoo or Ning groups to ask questions and keep up on current team communications and discussions.
